스위스 루체른 대학 여름 특별 프로그램 안내

오는 2020년 6월에 스위스의 루체른 대학(University of Lucerne)에서 특별하고도 유익한 여름 특별 프로그램(summer university program)이 열릴 예정이니, 대학원생 여러분의 많은 관심과 지원을 바랍니다.

[프로그램 소개] 유네스코(UNESCO) 후원 하에 루체른 대학 측이 주최하는 프로그램으로, 전세계에서 대학원생들을 선발, 초청하여 글로벌 환경에서 문제되는 과학기술 관련 윤리적 이슈를 공유하는 한편 서로 인간적 교류도 나누는 장입니다. 이러한 이슈와 국제적 교류에 관심이 있다면, 뜻깊은 경험을 할 좋은 기회가 될 것입니다. 자세한 사항은 아래 덧붙인 공고문이나 다음 링크를 참고하기 바랍니다.

- 선발 인원: 전세계 대학원생 30명(박사과정생 20명, 석사과정생 10명)

- 참여 연사진: 국제적십자위원회(ICRC) 총재인 Peter Maurer 등 (본교 기초교육학부에서 법학 및 과학기술 윤리를 가르치고 있는 김건우 교수도 같은 자격으로 인공지능 윤리 등의 강연과 세미나 등에 참여합니다. 상세한 정보는 위 링크 참조.)

- 등록비 및 기타 비용: 선발된 학생에 한해, 주최 측이 교통편(항공권)과 숙식 등을 모두 지원해 주며, 등록비는 없습니다. (지원서에 펀딩이 필요함을 명시해야 함)

Building a Global Network for Sustainable Responsibility – the Lucerne Summer University: Ethics in a Global Context

“Know how, act now” – Application is now open for the "Lucerne Summer University: Ethics in a Global Context” held on June 4-9, 2020 at the Institute of Social Ethics ISE at the Faculty of Theology of the University of Lucerne.

PhD/Doctoral and MA students from around the world and from different disciplines can apply to take part in building a global network for sustainable responsibility by participating in the “Lucerne Summer University: Ethics in a Global Context”. They do this by demonstrating their interest in present and future ethical issues in a global context and by having specific plans on how they can achieve a positive effect by implementing the skills learned at the Summer University in their individual context and academic work, not to mention what they would bring to the global and interdisciplinary network of people involved in the fields of science and research.

Applicants should send us the following documents (written in English):

·         signed application form

·         curriculum vitae (one page/500 words)

·         recommendation letters from two professors (max. one page each)

·         letter of motivation (one page/500 words) that illustrates why you wish to participate in the “Lucerne Summer University: Ethics in a Global Context”, what you hope to gain from your participation for your academic career, and how you will implement your new knowledge locally (e.g. on campus, in your community, …)

Applicants who wish to participate in the “Lucerne Summer University: Ethics in a Global Context” must apply by February 21, 2020. The decision on participation will be communicated within five weeks after the registration deadline.

Good command of English is required. The Summer University is conducted in English in its entirety and students are required to actively participate, both orally and in writing.
