- Abstract:

Ophthalmology is the battlefield of the most advanced technologies from the physics to the chemistry. The most successful biopolymer application is the well-known intraocular lens for the cataract patients and one of the most advanced laser optics is the EXCIMER and femtosecond laser for refractive surgery. And microsurgical techniques with super-fine instruments and various surgical machines open a new era for the treatment of the various eye diseases. In this seminar, various technologies for the measurement and treatment of the eye will be introduced and also the challenging effort of the artificial vision for the blind will be presented.
