Introduction to GOOGLE DOCS

When I was in high school and in college, i ttok computer classes that taught students how to use specific programs, such as Microsoft Word or PowerPoint. Those programs back then were very new powerful, but not many people knew how to use all of the cool features. So classes were offered to teach students how to use those programs more efficiently. Today, Google Docs is a powerful word processors, but not many students are familiar with all of its geatures and capabilities.

So the goal of this workshop is to teach you some of the word precessing features of Google Docs to help improve your writing experience and educational performance. More importantly, I will explain the background reasons for why you should use specific features when writing academic papers or reports (and many of the same word processing features are also found in other programs like Hangul Word Processor or Microsoft Word).

This workshop is intended to help students who are either new to Google Docs or who have limited experience using Google Docs. Topics will cover the basics of using Google Docs as well as more advanced features that will help improve your academic writing. Pleas bring a smartphone, tablet, or notebook computer with internet access.
