초록: This lecture aims to discuss the utilization and role of data-driven mathematical modeling in epidemic control policies during the COVID-19 pandemic in the Republic of Korea. Infectious diseases pose a continuous and significant threat to humanity, making mathematical modeling essential for an effective response. We will explore the importance of mathematical modeling from various perspectives, including the spread mechanism of infectious diseases, predictive modeling, and vaccination strategies.
During this presentation, we will explore current research findings and technological approaches, showcasing practical examples of how mathematical modeling of infectious diseases contributes to prevention and response strategies. Additionally, we will also share experiences regarding "The role of Korea's COVID-19 Mathematical Modeling Task Force Team in shaping public health policies through collaboration with the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KDCA) during the COVID-19 pandemic."
This lecture aims to foster an understanding of the significance of data-driven mathematical modeling as a core technology providing scientific foundations for infectious disease management and response policies.
