Our main goal at GIST is to train up future leaders in innovative science and technology.

To that end, the dormitory environment was set up to instill a sense of community and to foster the creativity and study environment required to achieve these goals.

Support system

  • A dorm manager is responsible for each dormitory, and the manager’s office is located at the front entrance of the dormitory

Eligibility for dorm admission

  • A master's student who is a government scholarship recipient can live in the dorm for 2 years, 4 years for doctoral students. Admission could be limited depending on dorm capacity.
  • Those who have passed required attendance for the term or industry-university students can be admitted depending on dorm capacity.
  • The period for dorm admission depends on the program period.

Note

  • Due to safety concerns, the following items are not allowed in the dormitory.

  • When using items not specified, get permission from Section of Academic and Student Affairs. Get a sticker from Section of Financing for electric items permitted. Return poor electrical cords (no KS mark, no marks or exposed wires).
  • Devices older than a reasonable time of use are not allowed.
  • Prevent fires through safety awareness concerning electric items.
