Highway	Tollgate	Route	Time Required
Honam Expressway Southbound Line	Gwangju Tollgate	After passing through the Gwangju Tollgate, turn right at Gwangsan IC (Hanam, Cheomdan-danji) at the 4-km point. Turn right again in the direction of Cheomdan-danji immediately after the first right turn. Pass through the underpass and go straight for 1 km. The Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST) is located on the left side of the road.	Around 10 minutes
Honam Expressway Northbound Line	Donggwangju Tollgate	After passing through the Donggwangju Tollgate, turn right at Gwangsan IC (Hanam, Cheomdan-danji). Immediately after the right turn, turn right again in the direction of Cheomdan-danji, pass through the underpass and go straight for 1 km. The Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST) is located on the left side of the road.	Around 20 minutes

Bia Drop-Off Stop	Taxi	When boarding an express bus, make sure to check whether it is possible to get off at the Bia drop-off stop, which is a point on the edge of Gwangju where the express bus will stop if a passenger so desires. (The bus will continue on to its downtown Gwangju U-Square Bus Terminal final destination.) Take a taxi after deboarding at Bia.	Around 10 min.
Gwangju U-Square Bus Terminal	Taxi	After deboarding, get a taxi at the taxi stand. ※ It is recommended to use a taxi, as there is no short bus route to GIST.	Around 30 min.
Gwangju U-Square Bus Terminal	Bus	Cheomdan 09 (Red) – Get off at the Ssangam Park bus stop. Maewol 16 (Yellow) – get off at the GIST bus stop. Cheomdan 30 (Yellow) – get off at the GIST bus stop.	Around 60-90 min.
