[IPA Team] Pre-Announcement: 2026 Summer Session Program

Greetings from the IPA Team.

 

This is a pre-announcement regarding the selection for the 2026 Summer Session Program, which many students are eagerly anticipating.


This advance notice is being provided to help you prepare smoothly, particularly concerning your language proficiency scores.

Students interested in applying should check the details below and prepare in advance.

 

The selection for the 2026 Summer Session Program is scheduled to take place in January 2026.

 

1. Application Submission Deadline (Tentative)

  - Expected Deadline: Around Friday, January 16, 2026

  ※Note: Only scores valid at the time of the English score submission deadline will be accepted;

               no supplementary submission is allowed after the deadline.

  - Important Considerations:

    ∙ Students without a valid foreign language score must check the validity and application deadlines for the required TOEIC/TOEFL exams.

    ∙ As of today, one new TOEIC exam is available: (Dec. 28, Sun.) → Registration opens on Dec. 17 (Wed.), 2025 at 10:00 AM.

    ∙ As of today, one new TOEFL exam is available: (Dec. 20, Sat.) → Registration is currently ongoing.

 

2. Application Eligibility

  - Student Year Eligibility:

Admission Year ~ 2019

Admission Year 2020 ~

Must be a 2nd-year student at the time of dispatch.

Must be a 2nd or 3rd-year student at the time of dispatch.

  - Academic Requirements:

    ∙ For 2nd-year applicants: Must have completed a minimum of 34 credits by the end of the first year

     (credits registered for the Winter Semester will be acknowledged – selection will be canceled if requirements are not met later).

    ∙ TGPA: Must be 3.0 or higher based on the application deadline.

    ∙ Language Proficiency: TOEIC 785 or higher / TOEFL 80 or higher

     (Note: Applicants for Boston University must have a TOEFL score of 84 or higher.)

    ∙ Students with a record of academic probation or disciplinary action are ineligible to apply.

    ∙ The final number of students to be selected will be confirmed on the official announcement date.

 

We hope this information is helpful for students interested in the Summer Semester Exchange Program.

 

Detailed information will be provided in the official announcement in early January.
