[Undergraduate] English I(GS1607) course exemption
Exemption from
- graduated from high school in one of the 19 English-speaking countries
(Antigua and Barbuda, Australia, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Canada, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Ireland, Jamaica, Malta, New Zealand, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, United Kingdom, United States)
- or holder of valid official English test; New TEPS 310, iBT 90, IELTS 6.5 or above
- and passed a separate English proficiency test administered by English instructors
※ Students eligible for English exemption must submit the ‘Application for English Course Exemption’ together with relevant supporting documents to the Language Education Center by September 11th 17:00.
Once submitted, you will be scheduled for the English proficiency test.
The test is for those who have not taken English 1 course. Even if you submit the 'Application for English Course Exemption' you will not be able to take the English proficiency test unless you cancel your English I Course.
① Official documentation of high school graduation from one of the above 19 countries and certificates or transcripts demonstrating that courses were taught in English. All documents must be submitted with a Apostille certification or notarized Korean translations.
② The relevant English test score report obtained prior to enrollment.
