GIST signs joint research agreement with
the Korea Institute of Machinery & Materials
□ The Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST • President Seung Hyeon Moon) and the Korea Institute of Machinery & Materials (KIMM • President Yong-Taek Im) have signed a research agreement on November 30, 2016, to promote facility and personnel exchanges.
□ GIST and the Korea Institute of Machinery & Materials will cooperate in joint research by planning and implementing projects combining specialized fields of both institutions, such as convergence research which is considered one of GIST"s strong areas and KIMM"s strength in printing and the electronics field.
∘ In addition, both institutions plan to share technology and have information exchanges between lecturers and researchers while also sharing research facilities and equipment.
□ President Yong-Taek Im of the Korea Institute of Machinery and Equipment said, "We will make efforts to achieve greater practical cooperation through joint research and expansion of cooperation between the two institutions."
□ GIST President Seung Hyeon Moon aid, "Through this agreement, we will endeavor to strengthen mutual research capacity between GIST and Korea Institute of Machinery and Materials. We are actively promoting GIST"s infrastructure to contribute to national science and technology development through active exchange of technology and information."
