GIST Signs MoU with Jeollanamdo Science Education Center
The Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST) under the leadership of President Seung Hyeon Moon has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Jeollanamdo Science Education Center on November 1, 2016.
The purpose of this MoU is to help improve the quality of educators through better training so that they will be able to develop outstanding educational programs, organize enriching events and exhibitions, utilize facilities management and better human resources, and promote various educational, cultural, and artistic projects to the community
Jeollanamdo Science Education Center Director Jong-hyun Cho said, "Through continuous exchanges with GIST, we will provide Jeollanamdo educators with quality on-the-job training opportunities that will enhance their ability to provide exceptional science education and exploration programs that will challenge the minds and inspire the creativity of our youth."
GIST President Seung Hyeon Moon said, "GIST is focused on converging the humanities with a science and technology-based education, and this is the essence of our unique liberal-arts based educational approach. To disseminate the many advantages of this approach, we will utilize the infrastructure provided by the Jeollanamdo Science Education Center to improve the educational experience of local students."
