GIST hosts Brown Bag Lunch Talks on defense related research
The Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST) under the leadership of President Seung Hyeon Moon will be hosting a series of Brown Bag Lunch Talks at Oryong Hall (Room 103) on defense related research from 12:00 pm to 1:20 pm on August 17 and 18, 2016.
The Brown Bag Lunch series is modeled after the TED Talk educational series that originated in the United States, but the purpose of GIST"s Brown Bag Lunch series is to promote interdisciplinary research among the GIST community.
Four defense related experts will speak each day for 20 minutes at a time, and topics will include research regarding electronic warfare, broadband wireless optical communication technology, and ultra-sensitive plastic biometric sensors.

The Brown Bag Lunch Talks is being organized by GIST Vice President Woo Keun Song who said, "This series of talks is meant to highlight the advanced defense related research being undertaken at GIST while at the same time encouraging more discussion among our researches in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. By hosting these lunches, we hope to increase the overall impact of defense related research at GIST and expand further cooperation with other research institutions."
