“GIST Family Enterprise”

GIST Center for the Promotion of Entrepreneurship (CPE) held a signing ceremony with local technology companies to work and cooperate on projects. Twenty-three companies agreed to join the ‘GIST Family Enterprise.’

‘GIST Family Enterprise’ is open to memberships for SMEs that expect future growth in Gwangju and Jeonnam areas. They will perform joint research with GIST for commercialization of research achievements, technology and management consulting, industry-academia collaborations, and joint use of research materials, etc.

Members of ‘GIST Family Enterprise’ include startup companies formed by alumni, research companies performing joint research with faculty members, development funding companies, etc. Members are divided into two categories: free and paid memberships. Depending on their status, GIST recognizes them as ‘GIST Family Enterprise’ for a period of 1~5 years.

CPE Director Sung-kun Ki said, “We will commit to excellence in research results through active cooperation with local SMEs, and we will make all the necessary efforts to commercialize our results.”
