GIST Professor Kihong Park selected as
senior editor of Aerosol Science and Technology
GIST Professor Kihong Park of the School of Environmental Science and Engineering was selected to a four-year term as the senior editor of the prestigious journal Aerosol Science and Technology. The journal is published in the United States and has a science citation index (SCI) that is in the top 5% for impact factor.
Aerosol Science and Technology was establish in 1982 and is the official publication for the American Association for Aerosol Research. The journal provides extensive coverage of aerosol phenomenon, whether theoretical or experimental.
Professor Park has distinguished himself in the field of environmental science and his Aerosol Technology and Monitoring Lab at GIST is focused on research regarding the analysis and reduction of ultra-fine dust and harmful particulate matter from the atmosphere. Professor Park has also recently collaborated with the Korean Polar Research Institute (KOPRI) to study how sub-micrometer particles form over oceans.
Professor Park said, "To be selected by the American Association for Aerosol Research as a senior editor for Aerosol Science and Technology is a tremendous honor for me, and I will do my best to carry forward the tradition of excellence within this research field."
