GIST-Gwangju Technopark sign MOU for technology commercialization
and promotion of entrepreneurship
□ GIST and Gwangju Technopark has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for technology commercialization and promoting entrepreneurship of local small and medium-sized businesses.
□ The main purpose of this MOU concerns the overall cooperation of their work on technology commercialization assistance and cultivating entrepreneurs for the local economy. These two institutions plan to increase the success rate of technology commercialization by establishing a phased cooperate support system.
□ GIST President Seung Hyeon Moon said, “We hope to contribute to the development of local industries through our MOU, working together for the revitalization and growth of start-up companies utilizing the advantageous of our superior technologies.”
□ Director Jung Chan Bae of the Gwangju Technopark also said, “With this MOU, we have a chance to build substantial business cooperation that is not merely a formality. Through this MOU, local businesses will be actively using available technologies that have tremendous potential for mass commercialization, and we hope to help generate many successful business models through this.”
