Ambassador Jérôme Pasquier of France visits GIST
Ambassador Jérôme Pasquier of France visited the Research Institute for Solar and Sustainable Energies on July 13, 2015.
Ambassador Jérôme Pasquier of France visited GIST on July 13, 2015, and met with French researchers to learn about their research and to discuss collaborative strategies to promote scientific research.
The conference was held at the Ultra-Short Photon Beam Special Research Building with Prof. Jong-won Kim, Prof. Yoon-hui Jang, Prof. Myung-han Yoon, researcher Lansac Yves, Prof. Chul-han Song, Prof. Gi-hong Park, and French scientists.
Ambassador Pasquier showed great interest in the field of environment and the promotion eco-friendly R&D technologies between the two countries with respect to the United Nations Convention on Climate Change conference that will be held in Paris this December.

The Ambassador also visited the Advanced Photonics Research Institute and the Research Institute for Solar and Sustainable Energies facilities. He exchanged ideas with researchers.
Ambassador Pasquier graduated from Ecole Polytechnique and studied at the French National Graduate School of Administration. He was a clerk in Lebanon, a Korean Cultural Counsellor, Consul General of Hong Kong, Secretary General of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Croatia before he was appointed as the French Ambassador to Korea in 2012.
