GIST Business Incubator hosts investor relations workshop
□ The Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST • President Seung Hyeon Moon) Business Incubator held an investor relations (IR) workshop on the 2nd floor of the Gwangju Science and Technology Exchange and Cooperation Center over two days from November 24 to 25, 2016.
□ This IR workshop was attended by 20 companies, including the 2015 and 2016 entrepreneurship start-up project winners. The IR workshop offered customized support and training to the participants, which included IR mentoring, professional IR training, as well as practical training and exercises to help them develop a better methods to increase investment.
□ The GIST Business Incubator has been selected for the second year in a row by the Small and Medium Business Administration and the Business Promotion Agency.
∘ GIST Business Incubator Director Sung-Keun Ki said, "This workshop focused on helping start-up businesses gain real growth. We will strengthen the survivability of the start-up companies to compete in a competitive marketplace, and I hope in the future we will be able to help them secure investment funds and match them with investors."
