GIST Students learns about UNEP
GIST International Environment Institute Director Joon Ha Kim invited Dr. Yoonae Kim, a policy advisor for the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), to meet with GIST students on October 27, 2016, to help inspire students who have ambitions of working for the United Nation.
The mission of UNEP is to "To provide leadership and encourage partnership in caring for the environment by inspiring, informing, and enabling nations and peoples to improve their quality of life without compromising that of future generations."
As a UNEP administrator, Dr. Yoonae Lee is stationed in Nairobi, Kenya, and manages the regional UNEP Environmental, Social and Economic Stability Framework. With this extensive background, Dr. Lee was able to provide insightful advice to GIST students who are interested in working for international organizations.
