GIST Climate Change Academy hosts first culture night
The GIST Climate Change Academy hosts its first culture night at the Gwangju Biennale on October 26, 2016. Thirty-six graduates who were the first to graduate from the academy were invited to the event.
The International Environment Research Center Director Joon Ha Kim introduced the research center as well as talked about the second phase plan of the Climate Change Academy. Following was the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) policy adviser in Nairobi, Kenya, Dr. Yun-ae Lee lectured on ‘Sustainable Environment’ that was well received by the crowd.
‘GIST Climate Change Academy’ is a curriculum to train professionals who can adapt and response to the understanding of the various problems due to climate change that may occur in the future.
Climate Change Academy Director Hor-Gil Hur said, “The nation"s top experts on climate change and in environmental fields will be invited as instructors to share the main trends and outlook and prepare for the new climate conditions.“
