Project for automotive heads-up display
The Advanced Photonics Research Center (APRI) at the Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST • President Seung Hyeon Moon) hosted the 2016 Convergence Ecosystem Initiative on August 19, 2016. The purpose of Convergence Ecosystem Development Project is to link public institutions with regional industries to develop and commercialize new technologies.
This year APRI"s automotive heads-up display (HUD) project was selected and will receive 1.6 billion won over two years for development costs. The HUD will utilize RGB laser lights to display information. Regional partners include Gwangju"s Techno Park.
