The exhibit showcased a total of nine research and development achievements, including multiple autonomous air vehicles based on state-of-the-art recording and rendering collaborative technology development for large-scale performances and broadcasting, realistic pseudo holograms where the image is projected onto the semi-transmissive special screen to create a holographic image, and virtual space implementation for exhibits based on projection mapping of images.

KCTI successfully completed its first culture-technology specific policy task from last October to July of this year. KCTI exhibited their projects at various arts and cultural events, including the Naju National Museum and at the athlete"s village for the 2015 Gwangju Summer Universiade, which received wide-spread praise and recognition.

Among several of the projects that KCTI is currently developing, one is focused on the development of a safe and eco-friendly artificial skin for cultural performers on which more colorful and elaborate make-up can be applied.

Manager Kwang Hee Ko said, “We got a great response from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism’s research and development staff. In particular, they were impressed by how we gave greater meaning to the exhibits by providing real-world practical examples.” He added, “We are planning to collaborate with the Asian Culture Complex to develop new technologies to display new types of exhibits. So we are really looking forward to continue achieving excellent results for our future projects.”
