On July 16, 2015, GIST College and Technion International School of Israel signed a MOU to promote cooperation and mutual exchanges between the schools. They will cooperate in the field of entrepreneurship education. Dean Do-Kyeong Ko of GIST College said, “This MOU will enhance students’ interest in entrepreneurship which has gained greater importance in our country, and this will be an opportunity to contribute to the realization of the creative economy in the field of education.”

The Technion International School is part of Technion Israel Institute of Technology located in Haifa, Israel. Founded in 1912, it is Israel’s first modern university as well as the oldest. The school has produced three Nobel laureates in 2004 and 2011. Technion has an extensive support environment, such as the ‘T3 technology transfer centers’ that was established to help students with 60 percent of the graduates becoming entrepreneurs. The institute has also been acknowledged as one of the world’s leading entrepreneurial ecosystems and incubators for future successful entrepreneurs. It is well known that for every 100 companies in Israel, half of them are owned by Technion graduates.
