Joint admission procedures briefing session by five science universities including GIST - Briefing session at Oryong Hall of GIST on May 10 and student consultations by universities on application strategies for admission □ GIST (Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology, President ž Young Joon Kim) held a joint admission procedures briefing session of science and technology-specialized universities at Oryong Hall, Gist on May 10. □ The briefing session was joined by five science and technology-specialized universities such as GIST, KAIST, DGIST, UNIST and POSTECH, and they introduced admission procedures, requirements and students’ application strategies for 2015. □ After the briefing session, each university held consultations with students and parents at separate consultation rooms. □ GIST College, which is an undergraduate program of GIST, will recruit 200 students (175 by rolling admission and 25 by regular admission) in 2015, which is increased by 30 people from last year, and will expand “special admission for equality opportunity” which aims to provide equal educational opportunity and social consideration to needy neighbors. □ The briefing session was initiated for the purpose of helping talented students who are interested in science and engineering to find a career befitting themselves and ultimately grow into creative scientist and engineers.
