GIST, Won "Prime Minister Commendation" in Government-sponsored Research Institutes

- Presidential Advisory Council on Science and Technology held "giving award to excellent research institutes and researchers" on Dec. 26

- Professor Won Taek, Han, Chang Su, Park, Ho Gil, Huh were selected as an excellent researcher.

Presidential Advisory Council on Science and Technology(Head Do Yeon, Kim) announced on 26th that it will give government medal, award and commendation on 27th at the Grand Ballroom of the council to excellent researchers and research institute based on the result of evaluation on 2011 government-sponsored research institute. GIST(Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology, President Jung-Ho, SONU) was selected as an excellent research institute and won Prime Minister Commendation. Professor Won Taek, Han(School of Information and Communications) received Science and Technology Medal, professor Chang Su, Park(School of Information and Communications) received Prime Minister Commendation and professor Ho Gil Huh(School of Environmental Science and Engineering) won Minister Commendation.
