GIST Wins Support from the Admissions Officer System Two Years in a Row

The GIST Undergraduate Program was selected as one of the Fine Universities of the Admissions Officer System, and won Support from the System a second time.

The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MEST) (Minister Byong-Man Ahn) and the Korean Council for University Education (KCUE) (Chairman Ki-Su Lee) announced the results of the 2010 Admissions Officer System Support Project.

The results were based on an evaluation by MEST and KCUE of the 2009 projects, 2010 Annual Plan and Three-Year Admissions Officer System Plan of universities that had applied to be considered as a Fine University.

GIST was a New University of the Admissions Officer System in 2009, and this year it was selected as a Fine University. Accordingly, it will receive an increased budget of 140million Korean Won, higher than last year’s 100million Korean Won.

Receive support from the 2010 Admissions Officer System Support Project, the Admissions Office plans to work harder in the attraction of talented students and in the operation of high school connection programs. Furthermore, it will apply the Admissions Officer System to all 100 students that will enter the school in 2011.
