IERI Call for Research Proposals 2019-Inducting CTCN Technical Assistance

IERI has supported many international research activities from 2004, to contribute to the
resolution of environmental issues in the developing countries and to reinforce the research
capacity of the developing countries. For 2019, we are moving forward to accelerate the
development and to transfer the climate technologies, themed ‘Inducting CTCN Technical

Assistance*1’.

 Research Funding body: Ministry of Science and ICT in South Korea and executed by the
Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST)
 For 2019 research period: Jan 1~Dec 31, 2019

Eligibility
- Each applicants must be nationals of developing countries. They must hold a PhD with
some research experiences focus on environment issues.
- Each applicants must be able to provide the institution’s bank account for this funding
transfer. We do not transfer the fund to a bank account that belong to any personnel.
- IERI may cancel the funding if recipients’ commitments are not fulfilled, even though all
decision was made.
- Each scientists who submit a satisfactory final report on a previous fund may apply for a
renewal.

Submitted proposals are assessed against the following criteria:
- Feasibility to requests for CTCN Technical assistance
- Innovation: extent to which the proposed research contributes to knowledge creation by
expanding and or strengthening the relevant literature on growth and development.
- Quality and composition of research work
- Contribution to local capacity
- Value for money

1. Fill out the IERI application form
● 2019 IERI research proposal form (Download it)
     - Applications must address one research area
● Principal Investigator’s CV with a list of publication
     (Including the 1st page of each published articles)
