As a unique multidisciplinary research and education program, the Department of Medical System Engineering (DMES) was established in Spring 2008, with the mission of promoting fusion research in medical systems applications.
All faculty members of DMSE are recognized as World-class researchers in their area of focus. Ongoing research topics include medical system for early cancer diagnostics and therapeutics, robotics, neural engineering, drug delivery system, and more. DMSE invites extremely energetic candidates who are seeking advanced degrees (MS, PhD), or MD PhD interested in multidisciplinary biomedical science and engineering. Specifically, candidates with medical degrees and those with engineering or science background are encouraged to apply.
With world-class faculty members and collaborations with physicians in affiliated hospitals, we provide DMSE students top-class educational opportunities, enabling them to become future professors, physician scientists, biomedical researchers, or CEOs/CTO in medical fields and clinics.
