* Topic: Korean Diplomacy in Wonderland

"There are many wonders happening in the world, the wonders that we could hardly imagine happening a decade ago; the EU leaders rush to China in the face of the Euro Zone crisis; the trans-Pacific relationship tops the US foreign diplomacy over transatlantic relations; China has become the largest automobile market in the world exceeding the US market; Samsung Electronics took over Apple in terms of global smart phone market share, and the number of views of K-pop videos reached a total of 2.3 billion on YouTube in the world in 2011. These phenomena show us how fast the world is changing. However, these global changes have caused significant economic, political, and social impact on the Korean society. In this regard, I would like to discuss the following questions with the GIST students. First of all, has Korea well prepared herself for these rapid changes? Secondly, are we now ready for the existing and upcoming changes?"

Since this lecture is spoken in English, International student must attend this tlecture.

There are 2 English lectures in each semester and even If you miss one class, it is impossible to pass this class.

We are going to distribute attendant card until the 10 min after starting the class.
