Advanced Photonics Research Institute(APRI) at the Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST) invites applications for several regular research scientist positions (senior research scientist, principle research scientist). The APRI at the Gwangju Institute of Science & Technology (GIST) was founded in 2001 as a government-funded research institute specialized in the field of photonics and optical technology. With the aim of contributing both to the academic and industrial development in photonics and optics, the APRI has been providing excellent educational programs and a vibrant research and development (R & D) environment. We would like to invite you to join us on a journey into our great future.
1. Requirements
Candidates must possess a Ph.D. degree in a pertinent field. Those who are planning to achieve a Ph.D. degree by the end of February 2008 are eligible to apply. Korean citizenship is NOT required for these positions. International or female scholars are encouraged to apply.

3. Selected candidates will be contacted for an interview.
Those who are selected for an interview will be requested to submit degree certificates and official from the BS program, the MS program and the Ph.D. program. The final decision will be made by March 13, 2008.
