<SPAN style="COLOR: #000000">Faculty positions are available in the School of General Studies, GIST College, at the Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST) Gwangju, Republic of Korea.<BR>GIST seeks candidates whose specialty lies in the fields listed below:<BR> Physics<BR> Chemistry<BR> Mathematics<BR> English language and literature <BR> Political Sociology<BR> <BR><STRONG>What is GIST?</STRONG><BR>GIST was established by the Korea Ministry of Education, Science and Technology in 1993. As a research-oriented graduate school with superb laboratories and research centers and faculties, GIST has accomplished remarkable achievements as follows: <BR>Nation"s highest number of papers/professor published in SCI-listed journals: approximately 5.3/year per professor during the recent consecutive 12 years. All faculty members and students participate in the government-funded "Brain Korea 21" program.<BR>GIST is preparing to open an undergraduate college in March 2010 with a 5 to 1 student to faculty ratio. <BR> <BR><STRONG>Requirements</STRONG><BR>The successful applicant is expected <BR>1. to possess a Ph. D. degree in a pertinent field at the time of application<BR>2. to have accomplished excellent teaching and research achievements in his/her areas of specialty<BR>3. to have a good command of English.<BR> <BR><STRONG>How to Apply</STRONG><BR>1.
