Alma Mater Visit Program for GIST International Students



 



The Section of Admissions (SAD) calls for applications for the Alma Mater Visit Program.



 



The Alma Mater Visit Program is designed to promote GIST graduate programs internationally by providing international students with trip expenses to their alma maters in home countries.



 



If you are interested to apply, please see details listed below:



 



A.   Details:



· Eligibility:  an enrolled international Ph.D. student who has achieved a BS or an MS degree from a university in home country



-      A student who has participated in this program before is not eligible to apply.



· Trip Duration



Up to 15 days



· Approval of Academic Advisor



Applications without the signature of the academic advisor are not acceptable.



· Promotion Activities



Participants are expected to distribute leaflets and brochures and post information posters.



(The Section of Admissions will provide the leaflets, brochures and posters.)



Participants are expected to introduce GIST to international students and provide advisory tips with prospective students.



 



B.    How to apply:



· Applicants need to complete the form (Alma Mater Visit Plan) and submit it to the Section of Admissions in person no later than the deadline.



 



C.    Procedure:



· SAD will review all applicants’ plans and select successful participants, ensuring even distribution of countries and schools.



· The final results will be announced on the GIST Bulletin Board and SAD will contact successful participants individually.



· Unsuccessful applicants may reapply another time.



 



D.   Supports:



· Round-trip Airfare(economy class):  maximum 1,500,000 Korean won



· Activity Expenses: maximum 500,000 Korean won



* All participants must submit documentary evidence for activity expenses.



 



E.    Important Dates:



· May. 19 : Submission Deadline



· Jun. 3 : Final Decision & Notification of successful participants



· Jun. 18 : Starting Visit



· Nov. 30 : Ending Visit and submission of the Visit Report
