Announcement for recruitment of (prep) Entrepreneurs on technology foundation program for foreigners
The recruitment of (prep) entrepreneurs on technology foundation program for foreigners under 2014 『The Vitalization Business for Global Business Establishments for the Young』is hereby announced to support the successful startup of businesses by identifying foreign (prep) startup entrepreneurs with promise.
1. Overview
□ Support
◦ Support for participating in the technology foundation program for foreigners of 2015 The VItalization Business for Global Business Establishments for the Young, certificate of award, and startup education are provided.
□ Organizer and Sponsor
◦ (Organizer) KISED, Global Startup Immigration Center
◦ (Sponsor) Small and Medium Business Administration, Ministry of Justice
□ Prize Award : Approximately five startup teams will be awarded.
* The final number of winners may vary depending on the decision of the evaluating committee.

2. Application and Eligibility for Support
□ Application Period and Method
◦ (Application Period) From Oct. 15, 2014 (Wed) ~ until 16:00, Nov. 13, 2014 (Thur)
* Application submitted by email within the application period will be eligible for consideration.
◦ (Application Method) Submit by email to (global@kised.or.kr)
- Documents to be submitted : ① application forms(including a written agreement for the use and provision of personal information, evidence (a copy of identification card, alien registration card, residence card, visa, etc.), business registration certificate (fact certificate in the case of a preparatory startup entrepreneur) ② business plan
□ Qualifications of an applicant: Overseas Koreans staying in or out of KOrea or foreigners who are preparatory startup entrepreneurs and who created a startup in Korea on or after Jan 1, 2014 (including the team members)

3. Procedures for Evaluation and Selection
□ Procedures for Evaluation and Selection of (Prep) Startup Entrepreneurs
◦ Phase 1 (Document Evaluation): Evaluate preparation of the startup teams and their business in terms of their appropriateness and excellence (Documents may be either in Korean or English)
- Extra points : Organizing a team with local Koreans to attract employment (2 points)
* Preparatory startup entrepreneurs must be local Koreans.
◦ Phase 2 (Mentoring Camp): 1:1 mentoring service is porvided to those who pass the document evaluation in terms of personality, will, capability, and business plan (Mentoring services are available in either Korean or English)
◦ Phase 3 (Presentation Evaluation): Evaluate the presentation of the technology and business of the startup based on the business plans disclosed during the mentoring camp.
- Evaluation Method : 20 minutes per team is given for presenting the
business plan (10min.) and for question and answers (7min.) (Presentations
may be given in Korean or English)
- Extra points : Extra points are given to teams giving presentations in
Korean, in recognition of the fact that speaking and understanding Korean
is important for a startup in Korea.(2points)
◦ Final Selection: Approximately 5 teams will be awarded according to their scores.
