The Economic Target: Superstar V is a contest to promote and inspire ideas through a national competition. Entrepreneurial teams from across Korea participated in regional competitions in August 2015, and 15 finalists were selected for the national competition that was held at the COEX in Seoul.
GIST" VELA team participated in the competition and received good reviews from the judges concerning their project idea and business plan. Deukjo Kong said, "GIST has established an entrepreneurial promotion center and business incubator on campus, which was very supportive of our project, and I learned a lot through this process. I am hoping to help the economy around Gwangju area with the development of a local GaN substrate industry."
