The ‘Energy Valley Institutes of Technology’ will open in Gwangju
The Energy Valley Institutes of Technology will soon open at GIST to accommodate energy related research, development, business support and training, etc. in the Gwangju area.
GIST President Seunghyeon Moon, Gwangju Mayor Jang-Hyun Yoon, and Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) CEO Hwan-Ik Cho with more than 100 guests will hold an opening day ceremony on May 29, 2015, at 5:00 pm in the LG Science Library.
The Energy Valley Institutes of Technology will be responsible for supporting various energy related research and development, business enterprises and small research centers, marketing, managing and export their products, and training researchers.
The Energy Valley Institutes of Technology will be located on the second floor of the LG Science Library with 11 employees.
Gwangju currently has four special institutions in the R&D zone: Korea Photonics Technology Institute, Korea Institute of Industrial Technology, Korea Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute, and Korea Electronics Technology Institute.
