For Cooperation in Science Education and Popularization
To Share Research Results and Resources for Joint Programs
GIST (President Young Joon Kim) and Gwangju National Science Museum (GNSM; Director General Eunchul Choi) have signed a memorandum of understanding to cooperate on cultivating future scientists and spreading scientific culture. The signing ceremony was held at GNSM on Thursday, September 25.
The two institutions have agreed to actively utilize their tangible and intangible resources to jointly develop exhibitory contents and educational programs in science and technology. In particular, they will push for co-developing exhibitory contents based on GIST’s research results and commercial prototypes as well as educational programs and community service opportunities for students in elementary, middle, and high schools.
GIST President Young Joon Kim said, “As next door neighbors on the same street, our two institutions will cooperate on raising the level of science appreciation and popularization.” GNSC Director General Eunchul Choi said, “We will work closely with GIST in various joint programs to promote science education and spread scientific culture in and around our city.”
