Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST· President, Kim Young-Joon) celebrated the 19^th year of its founding on November 16^th, GIST Oryong Hall with 200 people of professors, students, researchers and staff. During its celebrationg ceremony, President Kim Young-Joon prized members who endeavored for the advance of GIST.

President Kim Young-Joon, said “This year, we achieved lots of outcome, ranking 7^th in research capability in QS World University Ranking and signed an MoU with Caltech. GIST will do its best for cultivating people of science technology talent, academic-industrial research, balanced regional development as a National Core Research Institution.”
