GIST hosts second technology exchange session

with the Agency for Defense Development (ADD)

GIST Dean of Research Heung-No Lee hosted a technology exchange meeting for the promotion of defense research projects that are related to GIST’s specific research fields. The session was held on October 12, 2016, at the Research Institute for Solar and Sustainable Energies.

National Defense Advanced Technology Director, Yong-woon Park, Advanced Technology Research Center Director Kyung-seung Yang, Convergence Research Center Director Sung-baek Cho, Operation Team Leader Tae-young Ji, Laser team leader Byung-seo Park, Senior Researcher Sang-ho Lee and Dr. Sung-pyo Kim were the participants from the ADD. From GIST, Dean of Research Heung-No Lee, Distinguished Professor Yong-tak Lee, Professor Chang-soo Park, Professor Yong-Hoon Kim, Professor Jae-hyung Jang, Professor Chun-taek Lim, Professor Hyosung Ahn, Professor SOlkeun Jee, APRI Vice Director Young-lak Lee, and Professor Kee-Hoon Lee were present.

After a tour of APRI laser research facilities, participants exchanged information regarding ADD’s research status and GIST"s research fields, including laser, energy, multiple-drone, robot and Ai (artificial intelligence).

GIST and ADD signed an MOU in July of last year, and the first meeting was held in March.
