Hwang Sik Kim donated 10 million won to the GIST Development Fund
Former prime minister and current GIST Association of Supporters (AOS) director Hwang Sik Kim donated 10 million won to the GIST Development Fund on May 18, 2016. The donation will be used to help achieve GIST"s vision for the future.
Hwang Sik Kim said, “As a director of GIST Association of Supporters, I wanted to contribute to the development of GIST. GIST has become a very specialized science and technology university within Korea, and I hope GIST continues to excel in research and development while training talented researcher for our future.”
Hwang Sik Kim has served as the director of Gwangju district, a Court Administration official, a Supreme Court Justice, the chairman of the Board of Audit and Inspection, and as the 41st Prime Minister of Korea.
GIST AOS was officially launched in April 25, 2016, at Oryong Hall. Its purpose is to increase the scientific and technical research capabilities of GIST through various fund-raising campaigns so that GIST can continue with its missions of training the world"s best scientists and researchers.
