GIST his signed an an agreement with the Ministry of Education to expand support for the free semester system with three other specialized science and technology universities
GIST has joined with KAIST, DGIST, and UNIST to sign an agreement with the Ministry of Education to expand support for the free semester system.
GIST President Seung Hyeon Moon attended the signing ceremony at the Gwang-hwa-moon government complex in Seoul on May 20, 2016. The signing ceremony was attended by 20 others, including Minister Jun Sik Lee of the Ministry of Education, President Sung Mo Kang of KAIST, President Sung Chul Shin of DGIST, and President Moo Young Jung of UNIST.
These four specialized science and technology universities with the assistance of the Ministry of Education will support career exploration activities, will support art, sports, cultural activity clubs, and will support the development and operation of selected activities.
President Seung Hyeon Moon said, “We will provide students with the resources and opportunity to explore and design their own educational curriculum that is best for their futures.”
