The 2015 GIST Science Camp for High School Students

To help develop young students into creative global leaders, GIST is sponsoring the 2015 Science Camp from July 27 to July 31. GIST sponsors the science camp every year for second year high school students who are interested in attending GIST College.

Participants will stay at the GIST dorms for the entire week and experience the full range of college life offered at GIST, and they will also have the opportunity to explore the possibilities of a career in scientific research by teaming up in small groups to complete "mission-style" projects utilizing the labs at GIST. On the last day of the science camp, the students will present their research findings to a group of GIST professors. Outstanding students will receive awards, such as the President’s Award, University Award, Excellence Award, and Encouragement Award.

GIST Science Camp started in 2009, and this is the 7th year the camp has been held. The camp has become an integral part of GIST to provide 40 to 50 students from various high schools around Korea with an opportunity to develop their curiosity for scientific research while giving them a chance to learn about the many career options they will have as scientists and researchers.
