A multimedia mosaic of moments at GIST
In celebration of the 48th National Science Day, GIST donated children’s science books to local elementary schools on April 22.
GIST has been making science book donations to local schools every year since 2003. This year, 10 elementary schools in the nearby Cheomdan and Suwan districts were selected to each receive children’s science books worth 1.2 million won (approx. USD 1,100). Before making the donations, GIST received from each school a wish list of science books the students want.
In the future, GIST plans to further expand the scope of the book donation outreach campaign. “Elementary school students have almost unlimited curiosity and imagination. We hope the science books we donate help them get more interested in science and cherish great dreams about their future,” said Prof. Byoung Hun Lee, Dean of International and Public Affairs.
