A multimedia mosaic of moments at GIST
Professor Sung Yang of GIST Department
of Medical System Engineering and School of Mechatronics was presented an award
for submitting the largest number (14) of papers at the 17th Korea MEMS
(micro-electro-mechanical systems) Conference held on April 2 – 4 in Jeju.
Mr. Jong-Chan Choi, a doctoral student
in Professor Yang’s lab, was also given an award at the conference for making
the best oral presentation entitled “A microfluidic device for high-throughput and
multiplexed secretome assay of single cancer cell.”
Professor Yang’s team is conducting a
joint research project with Professor James R. Heath’s team in California
Institute of Technology in the United States. Their research is expected to
contribute to the development of biochips capable of improving the
effectiveness of cancer therapy.
