With the arrival of Fall Semester 2014, GIST Development Fund is running two new fundraising campaigns and is asking for active interest and participation from every member of the broader GIST community.

One is donating a new bicycle to a new GIST student. Ever since its founding, GIST has provided a free bicycle to all new students as the campus with no hills and little auto traffic is perfect for riding. Now, however, any GIST community member can personally help a future scientist get around the campus on wheels. The bicycle will have a sticker showing the name of the person who donated it.

The other is designating “GIST Supporter’s House” among the restaurants, cafes and other places frequented by GIST community members. An establishment making a donation to GIST Development Fund will be given a “GIST Supporter’s House” plaque and get PR support from the school.
