The Dream of the Nobel Prize at the GIST - Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology Hosts a Camp for Freshmen from Feb. 4th -English Lectures by Dedicated Teachers and Special Lectures on the Humanities Are Provided to Prepare for their Campus Life Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST, President Young Joon Kim) hosted a camp for the 2013 nonscheduled admission freshman on February 4 at the GIST college A building. The camp was hosted in midst of heightened interest and anticipation since the successful launch of NARO-1 Rocket. The future scientists will receive various programs for the next three weeks until February 22 in order to help students adjust to the campus life. The young scientists will be take part in small-group English lectures addressed by dedicated professors and native speakers during the camp to help students prepare for the academic life. The GIST Professors who majored in Korean Literature, English Literature, and Psychology will also address the future scientists on their respective fields. They will give lectures on the basic quality of scientists and the importance of convergence and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
