Professor Lee Jaeyoung of the School of Environmental Science and Engineering
Named as the winner of the Tajima Prize by ISE
Professor Lee Jaeyoung (39) of the School of Environmental Science and Engineering at Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST· President, Kim Young-Joon) was named as the winner of the Tajima Prize awarded by the International Society of Electrochemistry (ISE) in 2012.
The Tajima Prize was initiated by an endowment of a Japanese scientist, Dr. Sakae Tajima, and recognizes young electrochemists (less than 40 years old) who make outstanding contributions to research every year.
Professor Lee received the award from ISE in recognition of his excellent research activities including over 120 research papers published by SCI-level academic journals in the fields of "Physical Chemistry" and "Energy and Environment" and over 1700 quotations of his papers (h-index 24). He will make a special lecture in the capacity of the awardee at the Annual General Assembly of ISE next year.
