Appointed as Associate Editor of Information Sciences
Prof. Jeon Moon-gu (aged 50) of School of Information and Communications at GIST has been appointed as an associate editor of Information Sciences, a leading magazine at information science and computer science on August 21, 2012. (GIST is short for Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology and its President is Kim Young-Joon.)
His job is to assign judges to each paper submitted to the science journal and present a written opinion to the editor-in-chief whether to adopt, reject, or request modification of the paper based on judges’ reports.
Information Sciences is a leading academic journal and is one of the top 7% magazines in computer science and information engineering. Its impact factor is 2.833 and ranks 9th among 133 journals of the same field.
