A multimedia mosaic of moments at GIST
GIST opens a photonics summer school and invites scientists of Asian countries. Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology(GIST·President Kim Young-joon) has announced that it will hold Summer School on Lasers and Laser Applications : SSOLLA 2012 for five days starting from July 16 by inviting young scientists from Asian countries. Marking the third year since GIST Advanced Photonics Research Institute(APRI, Director Lee In-won) started to run such summer school program, this year’s program will invite 11 young scientists from Malaysia, Vietnam, India, Indonesia, and etc. The participants will get training from and do research with APRI researchers who developed a 1.5petawatt high energy laser which is highly efficient.
