CT Institute dreams of becoming the capital of cultural contents. [Electronic News Paper Interview- Park Chang-soo, Director of the Establishment and Planning of the Institute]
“Korea, which had been exporting squid or graphite only a century ago has now emerged as a powerhouse of cultural industry.” If Korea wants to further enhance competitiveness of its cultural contents industry on the global stage and to commercialize cultural contents products, it must have a control tower.”
Park Chang-soo, Director of the Establishment and Planning of the Institute, emphasizes the role of a control tower, which would manage the cultural industry ecosystem from R&D to commercialization of technologies in order to send the Korea’s cultural contents industry to a level higher.
Director Park has undertaken the important job of drawing a rough sketch of CT Institute. His mission is, in other words, to develop the cultural contents technology in a systematic way. The area he stressed the most from the start is discovering IT technologies for enhancing the quality of cultural arts and commercializing them.
