Professor Noh Do-young team implemented coherent diffraction imaging utilizing single pulse. The team of Professor Noh Do-young in Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology(GIST․President Kim Young-joon) has implemented coherent diffraction imaging with a 55nanometers spatial resolution by utilizing soft X rays laser single pulse with the pulse width of 8 pico-seconds. In the case of spatial resolution, it can be overcome with the improved performance of CCD detector that measures diffraction signals. Thus the development is meaningful that it has established a system with the pico-seconds time resolution and tens of nanometers spatial resolution using a laboratory-based laser. The system is expected to contribute to the research of kinetics of molecular or structures in the size of nanometers.
