- Interview with Kim Young-Joon, New President of Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (Gwangju Il-bo) -

 

In an interview with Gwangju Il-bo on June 7, Kim Young-Joon, new president of Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST), said "I"ll put an emphasis on growing GIST as a world class research oriented university and contributing to developing local industry and economy."

 

Kim was appointed as the sixth President of GIST at the GIST board meeting on May 30, and started his official work after being approved by the Minister of Education, Science and Technology on June 4. The president"s term is four years. The inauguration ceremony will be held at Oryong Hall on June 29.
