Opening ceremony for GIST Residence Hall House

 

 

Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology(GIST, President Sonu Jung-Ho) held the opening ceremony for GIST Residence Hall House at the square in front of college dormitory on May 31st.

 

The house system originates from dormitory system in the concept of residential college operated by Caltech and Harvard. The system aims to create small sized residential communities within the dormitory and link university life with cultural and academic life. GIST is the first in Korea to introduce such system.
